Privacy
At iT Literate we are aware of the importance of protecting your personal information. We only need your personal information to process your request for a quote, ship a purchase, create hosting space or supply telephone support. This information may include your name, e-mail address (if you have one), contact phone number, delivery address and credit card number.

Our staff uses your information to complete your request and your email address will be used to forward you monthly newsletters in the future.

Credit card numbers (obtained for telephone support, hosting packages and D.I.Y training products) are not stored.

IT Literate will not sell or release your personal information to any organisation or person outside of the company – EVER! (unless requested to do so by a court of law)

Data Security
Your credit card information is important data. IT Literate operates secure servers to minimise the unauthorised use of such information. Credit card information that is transmitted via our secure servers is encrypted.

Telephone numbers and residential/business addresses are also sensitive information. At iT Literate, we ensure there is no unauthorised access to this information.

Booking & Pricing Policy - Training

iT Literate pricing is based on one-on-one training - additional students incur additional costs.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all students booked for a session have access to a computer. All computers used for the training session are to be installed with the appropriate software prior to the start of the training session. Charges will apply from the mutually agreed upon start time for the training session.

It is a requirement for some training sessions that iT LIterate install 'student files' on the client's computer. iT Literate warrants that these files are virus free. Please let iT Literate know prior to the training session if you would prefer to download the files from the internet before the training session commences.

A booking deposit is payable for each session once booking has been confirmed.

The balance of payment is required on completion of training session (private students) or nett seven (7) days (business students)

iT Literate accepts VISA and Mastercard payments or direct deposit. Cheque is acceptable from approved clients only.

Booking & Pricing Policy - Microsoft Office Specialist Certification

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Tests are charged at $100. This is a non refundable charge regardless of whether the client passes or fails. Clients may attempt the exam again with a 10% discount on same Certification Test.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that a quiet space is available in which to sit the certification. The proctor for iT Literate will not allow the certification to proceed if the area is deemed unsuitable. The client is to ensure the area is available for the chosen test day and time - if the examination does not proceed the client will not be charged for the certification BUT all other fees and charges quoted remain applicable.

A booking deposit is payable for each certification once a testing date has been confirmed.

Cancellation Policy

A booking deposit is non-refundable if course/certification is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.

If the course/certification is rescheduled (by client) with less than 24 hours notice 50% of the deposit is refundable.

Pricing Policy - Web

Upon acceptance of the iT Literate quote a 20% deposit is to be paid before work can begin on your site.

Once the website is completed the balance is to be paid before the website is uploaded to the word wide web.

iT Literate accepts VISA and Mastercard payments or direct deposit. Cheque is acceptable from approved clients only.

Proofing Policy - Web

iT Literate will take all care and exercise true diligence in regards to proofing and testing of your site before it is uploaded to the internet. However sole responsibility lies with you to ensure the site operates and represents the company as you require.

Any changes required after upload will incur additional charges.

Training Guarantee

iT Literate guarantees your training session 100%. If you are not happy with the training received please let us know. We will be only too happy to discuss the situation with you and work to rectify your concerns.

Online Support Policy

iT Literate offer FREE on line support to our clients and their customers via the website portal.

All queries will be acknowledged within 48 hours.

The email addresses provided to iT Literate via the web portal will be added to or Newsletter database.
